As a lively and colorful two-day convention and marketplace that highlighted fan-derived and original content and content creators, the very first FanFess Manila indeed gave fans much to be happy about as they had an enjoyable time browsing through the many booths at the event held at Function Room 1 of SMX Aura.
FanFes Manila 2018 got to feature all kinds of creators, from artists, video producers, to game developers and more. It was also a showcase for local talent to produce original as well as fan-derived work as well as a a venue for artists to meet with their fan base and celebrate their passion and creativity, with special guest Surfacage as just one of many great examples.
With over 60 artists and booths, Fanfes Manila is a convention and marketplace where local artists can share their work and put their creativity on display and for purchase by fellow fans. Browsing through the many items on display and for purchase was in itself a delightful activity for attendees. They can also have commissions done by the talented and friendly artists there.
Animax is a partner for FanFes Asia and had a very attractive booth where they had adorable OO-Kun and friends merchandise on display, which included special limited-edition items for sale. Animax gave away free fanart prints for a minimum purchase of P100.
A silent auction for great finds took place on both days, where attendees can just jot down their bids on a bidding sheet until the allotted time was up.
Cosplayers are also avid fans of art and were there to get their fill of merch and have fun with everyone there.
Fanfes Manila 2018 was a chill event where fans and friends could meet to have fun and support their favorite artists. We already look forward to the next one.
