Otasuke’s February 2022 Cosplay Festival by OtaCute was held at Laperal YOU. Suites, Recto Ave. Sampaloc, Manila on April 23 and 24. Both days of the event were packed with fun games and activities for both cosplayers and attendees to enjoy. The event featured many renowned cosplayers that joined the festivities on both days of Otasuke Cosplay Festival 2022.

The first day of the Otasuke Cosplay Festival event opened at noon with all staff members and booths prepared to welcome everybody. Numerous booths full of Anime merchandise were available for the attendees to take a look at and grab a bunch of collectibles of their favorite Anime.

Before any of the programs started, the hosts Mr. Yuki and Mr. Israel first kicked the day off with the opening ceremony of the Otasuke Cosplay Festival. After greeting all attendees of the event, festivities began at the scheduled time.

The first program of the day was the minigame prepared for all attendees to participate in. The participants of the minigame all enjoyed and had fun garnering cheers and laughter from the crowd. An auction was held for everyone to bid and buy their chosen Anime items and merchandise up for sale.

An impressionist karaoke competition with prizes was also held on-site and online and 6 finalists competed on stage on the days of the event itself. Everyone’s voice was splendid and the audience cheered in awe and excitement at who would come out as the winner of the competition.

Eye-catching performances were done by cosplayers which drew in a huge crowd of attendees to watch the performers on stage. The crowd was left in joy and with a big smile on their faces after the wonderful performance! Another minigame was held for the attendees right after the performance and it was fun where everyone enjoyed every single bit of it.

Before the festivities on the first day of the Otasuke Cosplay Festival came to an end, the cosplay competition of the male category took place. The finalists got on stage in the striking cosplays of their favorite characters, ready to take on and claim the number one spot in the male category. The festivities of Day 1 ended just shortly after the closing remarks done by Mr. Yuki and Mr. Israel, promising yet another day full of activities and programs on the next day.

With Day 2 rolling once again and just about to begin with its scheduled programs and activities, Mr. Yuki and Mr. Israel opened the day with the ceremony and warm greetings for the attendees. This was followed by minigames for the crowd and auctions of collectibles for Anime enthusiasts and lovers.

The team had the chance to visit the Genshin-themed maid café and were greeted by the very heartwarming and cool service from the waiters. The atmosphere of the place to the food and drinks being served felt like a wonderland for gamers and cosplayers who like Genshin. Attendees who needed a quick break and refresher came to the right place, looking for a cool place to rest while sipping on their drink and interacting with their friends or with the waiters.

A Beauty & Brawn Cosplay Contest was also held on both days for male and female characters with finalists taking an on-stage performance for spectators to watch the presentations of the cosplayers. 3 male cosplayers and 3 female cosplayers were chosen as winners in each of their own respective competitions. The cosplay competitions for the female category started just as scheduled, with everyone anticipating the attractive cosplayers to take the stage and be named the number one cosplayer. Another minigame was held after the cosplay competition and everyone enjoyed every single bit of it!

In addition, because the event was sponsored by Nature’s springs, Nissin Cup Noodles, Great taste duo, and more , there were a lot of handouts at the event as well! The cosplayers who went were delighted to be able to take home complimentary things from them, which they will use in their own homes.

The final program for the last day of the Otasuke Cosplay Festival was the Ambassadors’ Runway Parade, where we got to see the amazing cosplays of the ambassadors of OtaCute. Everyone was fascinated and astonished at how they were able to pull off these magnificent walks and poses on the stage, with the crowd roaring and supporting their favorite ambassador.

Before the day came to an end, everyone took pictures with their friends, fellow cosplayers, and even staff members as they all enjoyed the festivities and stunning cosplays.
