In celebration of their 34th anniversary, UP Tomo-Kai, the UP Philippines-Japan Friendship Club, brought back its popular multi-day festival that brought together the best aspects of Filipino and Japanese culture, culminating in Hataw: A Cultural Night last May 31, 2024 at UP Diliman. Showcasing the talents of local and invited studentry and special guests, attendees got to enjoy and share an immersive and engaging time together.
Exhibitors, concessionaires and booths got to offer a wide selection of art, merch, prints, crafts, services, rentals, food, refreshments, and other items that cater to numerous fandoms.
Sensational performances from incredible talents such as Kontra-Gapi, Cess, Hoshizora, GRE!, TK Performers, as well as a live demonstration from Sugawara Soho Buda PH, got to engage and delight attendees throughout the event.
It was an enchanting evening that saw the vibrant and engaging return to tradition, celebrating the rich cultures of the Philippines and Japan.
