Billed as Zenith in the Clouds, Cosplay Mania 2024 delivered a spectacular cosplay and J-music experience unrivaled by any event this year. Already on its sixteenth year of being the biggest annual cosplay event in the country, CosMania, as it has been affectionately called by generations of fans of cosplay, anime, J-music, hobbies, and pop culture, presented the best in entertainment and attractions last October 4-6, 2024 at Halls 1-4 of the SMX Convention Center Manila.
Continuing to be the most anticipated cosplay and J-culture event each and every year, Cosplay Mania has had a long and storied tradition of bringing fandoms from all over the world. On its sixteenth year, the sky was the limit with the biggest Cosplay Mania in history, spread over three whole days at over 9,000 square meters of convention space, filled with more than 200 exhibitors with exclusive and rare merch, and over a dozen international guests taking part in the festivities, it was an event that had something for everyone.
Cosplay Mania 2024 had its fans and attendees on cloud nine as it delivered an extraordinary extravaganza of exceptional exhibitors and booths for merch, artwork, toys, collectibles, clothing, apparel, and many other items that you can only be found once a year from here and abroad. Many of the event sponsors had incredibly fun and enjoyable attractions as well.
All Star Avenue also welcomed fans of local cosplayers and artists like Zackt and Roxanne Kho, Mitchaki and Rize, Lia Bear, Pomponmy, Prince de Guzman, Jane Yu and Eri Strawberry, Dianne Sabandeja, AC Cosplay, and so many more to give them the engagement with their idols that they have been craving for.
The biggest cosplay and J-culture event i the country had two incredible stages to present the myriads of entertainment and attractions over the weekend: the SP Stage and the EX Stage. Let by spectacular hosts Jill, Naru, Kroin and Envy, the SP Stage delivered two huge contests with some of the biggest prizes ever, as Cosplay Mania Cup and Cosplay Karaoke Cup featured furious battles with winners from previous Cosplay.ph events battling it out to really know who was the best of the best, the champion among champions. The SP Stage also featured stage segments with appearances by special guests like amazing Voice Actress Su Ling Chan, sensational Vtubers Octavio, Jurard T Rexford, Anya Melfissa and Vestia Zeta, and VOLS, and artists for the JAM Concert: Chiai Fujikawa, Kz(livetune), Sajou no Hana, Bradio, ASCA and Nami Tamaki.
The EX Stage led by hosts Kenkoy, Pau, KiraKiraKat and Fatima got to deliver equally exciting programs, performances by amazing artists and contests like Cosplay Karaoke which were hits with the crowd. Also of huge interest and appeal are this year’s batch of guest cosplayers, which included Taryn, Lea, Byoru, and Hiroto Kuramasu, who had special appearances at the EX Stage, with their avid fans going wild at seeing their cosplay idols live.
The EX Stage also featured their own exciting cosplay contest, the Cosplay Masquerade, which gathered choice picks by mystery judges from the cosplayers at the event. the finalists got to strut their stuff to impress the judges composed by arkadytmac.com’s Correspondents Rica Ortiz along with prominent cosplayers Ponponmy and Geneva Cabading. In the end, they got to decide the deserving winners who got to take home some really wonderful prizes.
The JAM Concert was the single biggest J-music event of the year and got to feature stellar international artists Chiai Fujikawa, Kz(livetune), Sajou no Hana, Bradio, ASCA and Nami Tamaki. All these extraordinary artists got to engage fans of J-music all weekend long with very memorable appearances and performances on the SP stage.
With so many attractions and surprises in store for its attendees, Cosplay Mania 2024 has reached the zenith of cosplay and J-culture in the country that simply cannot be matched, once again living up to its reputation of being the biggest event for the community every year.
