With a fun and engaging game-themed adventure at one of the most impressive and luxurious venues in the city, CosMeet 2024 got to take attendees on a fantastic cosplay experience for an entire weekend. Happening alongside PLAY’s Halloween Unlocked celebration, CosMeet 2024: Verdant Story was filled with family-friendly Halloween activities, cosplay, art, music, and fandoms at Cove Manila.
With a successful initial event last year, CosMeet made its return to majestic Okada Manila last October 26 to 27, 2024 at Cove Manila. Alongside PLAY’s Halloween Unlocked celebration, CosMeet 2024: Verdant Story was an event that attendees could meet up, make new friends and have fun with lots of enjoyable activities, cosplay, art, music, and fandoms all around Okada Manila.
Amid the resplendent sights and attractions that only Cove Manila could provide, CosMeet 2024 featured a mystical marketplace with many of the most sought-after exhibitors and artists who could satisfy every fan’s need to shop for all the merch, art, toys, collectibles and cosplay and fashion accessories, and a whole lot more, while the food stalls kept attendees HPs filled and spirits fulfilled.
Making CosMeet 2024 even more spectacular was its international guest cosplayer, Thames. Having been a guest at previous events like ACX and Cosplay Mania, the community has responded favorably to the return of Thames to the Philippines as they came in droves to see Thames at special stage appearances as well as meet and greets with his Filipino fans.
An amazing lineup of activities keep attendees excited and engaged from the stage throughout the weekend led by brilliant hosts Naru and Kenkoy. Phenomenal artists MiRai and DNE got to perform on stage with electrifying numbers to thrill the crowd.
CosMeet 2024 was also about the fans and their many fandoms who met up and enjoyed their hobbies and passions, and they will get to have their spotlight with fun and enjoyable contests for attendees to enjoy like Kaiju Sweeper, Geo Hunter and Facepalm the Music, as well as the exciting bargain hunting sessions at Cosplay Auctions.
there was also a spectacular Halloween Parade that went all around Okada featuring a marching band, dancers, performers on stilts and CosMeet’s very own cosplayers.
Two huge contests will be the highlights for each day, bringing much fanfare to the event. Cosplay Karaoke-Game Edition on Day 1 will feature stellar performances from some of the best singers in the community, with special guest Thames, along with Jeyel and arkadymac.com’s Correspondent Darene serving as the judges.
Solo Cosplay Catwalk-Game Edition amazed the audience at Day 2 as it featured the unbeatable talent and creativity of our community’s cosplayers in a very thrilling catwalk, with special guest Thames, along with Kyosuke and arkadymac.com’s Correspondent Vanessa serving as the judges..
Attendees will also get to enjoy All Star Avenue, where they can encounter their favorite cosplay heroes for meet and greets and merch sales, like Mitchaki, Pomponmy, Jane Yu, Eri Strawberry, New Game+, the event’s fantastic performers, MiRai and DNE, as well as the members of arkadymac.com including Rica Ortiz, Darene, Yanna, and Vanessa.
As each day of CosMeet came to a close, the Open Mic Karaoke sessions on stage provided a fun time for attendees to enjoy and wind down.
CosMeet once again got to provide another fantastic experience that brought cosplay fans together to meet up and enjoy an event at a dazzling location with exceptional entertainment and attractions all weekend long.
