Celebrating its second spectacular year, Cosplay Camp headed south last June 7-8, 2025 and set up its camp grounds at the 3rd Floor, East Wing of Festival Mall. Cosplay Camp was a free, casual, and community-centric event where attendees and mall patrons can enjoy cosplay parades, snapshot contests, cosplay contests, games, auctions and more for free.

Cosplay Camp Festival Mall let its campers explore its fantastic campgrounds filled with a  remarkable number of exhibitors and booths and let them scout for unique merchandise, captivating art, exclusive collectibles, cosplay and fashion accessories and food, like sponsor LA Chicks.

There were lively and colorful Cosplay Parades on both days to showcase the talent and energy of our community.  It was the perfect opportunity for cosplayers to show off their amazing costumes to the public and have your photos taken all around Festival Mall and have fun with your fellow cosplayers.

arkadymac.com’s editor-in-chief Jillian was the host for both days and co-hosted by Pablo Bairan and led the audience through enjoyable activities like Ready Set Auction, Trivia Throne Throwdown, Snapshot Showdown and Cosplay Crosswalk, which anyone could join absolutely free. New and seasoned cosplayers, con-goers and mall patrons got to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

Co-presentor Hobby Kaikan celebrated Hobby Kaikan’s its first monthsary at Cosplay Camp and had engaging features on stage to share the latest in hobbies. Hobby Kaikan is where tabletop gaming, pop culture, toys, and collectibles enthusiasts come together, located at the 3rd floor East Wing of Festival Mall. Hobby Kaikan features Collector’s Cabinet Showcases, Shared Co-playing space, Tabletop Gaming Tournaments and Hobby Workshops for fans, gamers, and collectors. That weekend, they also celebrated Magic:the Gathering’s newest set, Final Fantasy.  There were free game demos at the event for people who want to play Magic the Gathering.

Cosplay Camp was a laid-back yet fun experience.for the community. It was great to hear that a good number of attendees said that it was their first time cosplaying at an event and that they had a good time and a memorable experience spending time getting to know other cosplayers and members of the community.

With hundreds of cosplayers in attendance over both days, Cosplay Camp Festival Mall was a great success in providing the community a fun and pleasant venue for fans families, and enthusiasts to enjoy their hobbies together with like-minded people who share the same passions. We certainly hope to see more Cosplay Camps soon.
