We had a pleasant time last weekend as the DOTA II Cosplayers group held a fun shoot at the the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center. It was a simple day of bonding with old friends and meeting new ones, as well as having photos of their cosplays taken before school started.
It may have been a warm day as participants gathered at the Tea House, but that didn’t stop cosplayers and photographers alike from taking the chance to go around the park and have brief photoshoots with each other.
For others, it was an opportunity to meet up with old friends and catch up on each other’s lives. There were those who got to meet new friends through their mutual interests and hobbies. Throughout the event, prizes were given away though raffles, and it kept everyone excited as everything else was going on.
Our public relations officer Kaloy was there to take part in the event as well as he enjoyed mixing it up with the other participants. Keeping the peace were these commandos, and they’re glad to report that nothing untoward happened on their watch.
Oh, we also got to see our friend Carina on a separate shoot in the park. Her Daenerys cosplay is always a sight to behold.
For the uninitiated, it may not seem much but these small events do indeed foster closeness within communities that strive to keep cosplay alive and enjoyable. We’d like to thank the organizers for putting together this cozy little gathering and having us over to cover and take part in their event.
