arkadymac.com is glad to be a media partner for AME Fair X at the World Trade Center this weekend, December 13-14, 2014. For many years AME Fair has been a much-anticipated event, and this year promises to be an even bigger spectacle as fans of pop culture, gaming and hobbies gather for an experience like no other. AME Fair X is brought to you by Worldbex Services International in cooperation with UP AME.
The action takes place at the East Wing of the World Trade Center, and our lead photographer Bryan was there to cover the first day of AME Fair X. Tickets are priced at Php 100 and available at the entrance.
The venue is huge and spacious and rather cold, so it won’t hurt to bring warm clothes along.
A large assortment of food and drinks are available at World Bazaar next door, and the AME Fair X ticket gives you access there too.
Our latest member, Kami-kun, is our new photographer and resident meganekko, and we were thrilled to have her join our coverage for her first assignment for arkadymac.com. We made sure she got to enjoy herself too at AME Fair X.
And because we were sponsors for the event, we were given a complimentary booth. Made me really happy to see it of course as it made me realize arkadymac.com has come a long way since we started two years ago. Besides our tarp, we don’t have anything else to offer yet, but hopefully one of these days we can give our readers and those curious about cosplay a reason to visit our booth at events. For now, we hope you can just pass by and say hi.
Event games included “Name that Tune” which had contestant guess the titles of songs from anime.
Various Bands rocked the World Trade Center and entertained the crowd with exciting performances.
Then there was the Dolldelight runway show where they showcased the latest delightfully kawaii fashion. We were glad to see our friend Wynona being part of it too.
There were plenty of game tournaments going on simultaneously around the venue as well.
We also got to meet our media friends from Otaku Asia, magnetic-rose.net, and Deremoe.
We got to see fabulous replica swords at the Geisha’s Blade booth. They’ll be sponsoring Saber’s Excalibur as the grand prize for the cosplay competition.
We also got to see our friends from Perry In Disguise with great anime- and game-inspired hoodies, so do drop by and have a look.
We were there to catch the cosplayers in action too.
These and more at AME Fair X. Video Montage to follow soon. There’s still Day 2 this Sunday, so do drop by the World Trade Center for the best fun this season, with bigger contests, more performances, and great cosplays. Do visit again for our coverage of AME Fair X 2014: Day 2.
