It was a great, fun-filled weekend for anime and Japanese pop culture fans as Animax Carnival Philippines 2015 ran its second day at Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Anime lovers, cosplayers and enthusiasts have been looking forward to what is one of the grandest and most exciting anime events this year as the region’s leading anime cable channel brings this spectacle to them with lots of special guests and attractions in store for everyone. arkadymac.com is an official media partner for ACPH 2015 and we are glad to bring you the highlights of the second day of this much-anticipated two-day event.
Animax, Asia’s first channel specializing in Japanese animation, brought back its annual flagship event back to the Philippines, much to the delight of the fans who have been waiting for this grand event. Viewers and fans were treated to two days of fun-filled anime-themed activities at Animax Carnival Philippines 2015, with even more people attending than the previous day.
Anime lovers, cosplayers and Japanese pop culture enthusiasts were in for a fun, exciting time as lots of attractions were offered all around the venue. Attendees got to have a taste of anime and the Japanese culture as they were able to play traditional Japanese games and see all of the anime posters and character artworks that have been featured on Animax. They got to experience exotic Japan by learning how to write their names in Japanese and folding Origami for display at the Japanese Embassy booth. There were able to get Japanese fashion pieces and Japanese food from a variety of designer booths and food stalls.
Our Reviews writer and Cosplay Model Yanna and our photographer Kami were there to help us cover the event, and they had fun experiencing the sights and sounds of the event as well.
Rhianna Floresca and Eri Neeman were the great hosts of the program, and for the second straight day they tirelessly kept everyone informed and entertained all day long, facilitating games and features all throughout the event.
Special screenings of episodes of Animax shows like Hunter X Hunter and Parasyte: The Maxim were appreciated by the attendees in between segments as they could just relax and hang out at the space in front of the stage.
World-renowned Philippine Cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao was a special guest who helped judge the group cosplay competition. She also gave a great performance, singing Kawaii Girl with the enthusiastic participation of the crowd. The audience just couldn’t get enough of her as she brought her passion for anime and cosplay before the many people in attendance.

Animax Carnival Philippines 2015 saw the return of the acclaimed Animax Cosplay Competition for cosplay lovers. Four selected cosplay groups got to showcase their costume-making talents and love for their favorite anime characters in dazzling performances. The Fairy Tail Berzerkers group won first place, Hunters Association Cosplay Group placed second while the Bleach Cosplay Group took third place, and they got to take home huge cash prizes and giveaways.
We’re happy for our Cosplay Model Nicole, who got to win Second Place with her Hunters Association Cosplay group.
Animax’s adorable mascot Oo-kun was there to spread fun and cuteness to everyone, and people just can’t get enough of him. Event goers also get the chance to purchase various merchandise and premiums from the Animax store such as Oo-kun plushies, drawstring bags, sticky notes, folders, fans and much more.
The best Animation dance crew representing Japan and standout of Asia’s Got Talent, Triqstar, gave an amazing performance that left the audience mesmerized and amazed. The doll-like, mechanical movements incorporated into their dance routine has left the audience hypnotized as the performance was nothing short of incredible. They even gave a short dance tutorial to some lucky fans afterwards and a meet and greet session.

After some other features, Animax Carnival Philippines 2015 officially drew to a close. Feedback from fans have been positively overwhelming, saying they haven’t had this much fun in an event for a long time. They also enjoyed the games and the generous giveaways from all two days. They appreciated this year’s set of special guests aw well.
