Taking inspiration from a star festival in Japan, and every year, one of the community’s best-loved events is back with lots of attractions in store for all its avid fans as Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2023 happens this August 19-20, 2023 at Megatrade Halls 1-3 of SM Megamall. With many special guests including Tomia, Sansin, Tsubasa, Charess, and Hakao, as well as many activities and attractions that fans have come to love, Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2023 is easily one of the most exciting events of the season, with Entrance Fee at only Php 250.
As one of Ozine Fest’s premier events, Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival allows attendees to experience a tanabata-themed affair that involves a lot of decorations, with one of the highlights being the ever-famous Wish Tree. If there is something you wish for, write it down because participating makes you eligible to win a prize. Also, those wearing a kimono during the event would be getting freebies and goodies.
Otaku Expo Tanabata Festival 2023 will be featuring special guests including Tomia, Sansin, Tsubasa, Charess, and Hakao, who will have meet and greet sessions as well as special stage appearances.
Fun and engaging Activities like the Kimono Cosplay Competition, Battle of the Bands, Singing Competition, Suo Cosplay Contest, Paper Crane Folding, Wish Tree, and Spin-a-Wheel Game will be available for attendees to participate in and enjoy.

Hall 1:
Photoshoot Area – This area will be dedicated to Photographers taking pictures of cosplayers. We will be dividing the space to accommodate more photographers. Just a reminder to the photographers to discuss amongst yourselves so that we can give a chance to other photographers as well.
Tanabata Area – You can play and experience these games: Goldfish Scooping, Balloon Scooping, Target Shooting, and more! Treats like Free Popcorn and Cotton Candy if you are wearing kimono. Kimono Rentals and display are also located here.
Cosplay Guests meet and greet – Line up here to interact and purchase merchandise from our cosplay guests; Charess, Tomia cosplay, Sansin, Tbs Cosplay and Hakao Coser!
Note that you will have to purchase their merchandise to meet and take photos with them
Busking Area – Listen to our performers as they serenade you with your favorite anime songs.
Baggage Area – You may leave your items here. Note that charges may apply.
#OzineCares Area – We have allocated a specific area for PWD and senior citizens which is near the Busking area.
Food Stalls and refreshments – Don’t forget to eat and hydrate yourselves during the event!
Hall 2:
Exhibitors Area – Shop your favorite anime merchandise from a wide array of stores.
Ragnarok Origin Online Café – In partnership with ROO & Razer Gold, Ozine Maid Café makes a comeback to serve your favorite Ragnarok-themed refreshments. You will get an exclusive cup sleeve with in-game codes for every purchase of drinks.
Stage – The center of activities where all contests will happen from Battle of the Bands, Singing Contest, to Cosplay Competition, etc.
Sponsors Area – Support our sponsors by visiting their booths: The Japan Foundation, Manila , Razer Gold , @MMineski Slash and Fuwa Fuwa And yes, Fuwa Fuwa will be giving away your favorite bread at the event!

Hall 3:
Artists, Merchants, and Cosplayers Alley – Shop from your favorite artists and merchants. You can also get a chance to interact with your favorite cosplayers here!
Entrance / Exit and Re-Entry:
Hall 1 – VIP Pass holder and Online Ticket purchase (Mineski Slash). NO EXIT at this Hall. RE-ENTRY for VIP / ONLINE TICKET / PRE-SOLD and ON-SITE ticket holders. Don’t forget to have your arms stamped when you enter the event.
Hall 2 – Entrance for those who will purchase tickets On-site (on the day itself). Exit is allowed here but no RE-ENTRY.
Hall 3 – Those with physical tickets purchased during Otaku Expo Anime Manga Special 2023 onwards may proceed here. RE-ENTRY for VIP / ONLINE TICKET / PRE-SOLD and ON-SITE ticket holders can RE-ENTER here once you have a stamp. EXIT is allowed here.

Outside FOOD and DRINKS are not allowed inside the Halls. Please support our Food renters.
