​Hundreds of thousands of fans of the written and printed word “got lit” at the return of the country’s largest and longest running book fair. Manila International Book Fair 2026 once again opened its doors to the most exciting week-long extravaganza of books and literature ever, filling two full floors of the SMX  Convention Center, once again establishing itself as the premier gathering for publishers, authors, educators, and  readers of all ages last September 9-13, 2025.

With the theme “Get Lit: Reading in a New Light, MIBF 2026 brought stories in every form to fans of the written and printed word from all over the Philippines. This ultimate literary paradise was nothing short of impressive with its multitude of exhibitors, attractions, activities, author signings, and contests, exciting meet-and-greets with beloved Filipino authors and creators, as well as fascinating panel discussions, workshops, and exclusive releases. This beloved yearly event has broken records in attendance, a testament to the Filipino’s undying love for books that has grown stronger than ever.

A wide array of exhibitors from here and abroad got to show off their latest titles, products, merch and other offerings, much to the delight of attendees. Colorful and fascinating booths line almost endlessly across the vast exhibition floor, attracting book lover of all kinds.

Always eager to provide an even more immersive experience to attendees , MIBF 2026 again saw two full floors of the SMX  Convention Center, giving attendees an extensive world of books, creativity, and learning. Inviting everyone to celebrate stories, voices, and community, MIBF had become even more inclusive and celebrated the diverse and evolving landscape of storytelling, from traditional printed  books to comics, graphic novels, and digital media.

They got to thoroughly enjoy the event, with the many colorful attractions, fascinating products, captivating authors and artists, and enjoyable experiences that MIBF had to offer.

Of particular note and of interest to our community was the Boy’s Love Cafe by Black Ink, which got to win the First Place Award Best in Booth Design. Their exhibit was impressive and tastefully designed with curated displays of fascinating works by local artists, and hosted meet and greets as well.

MIBF 2026 was as grand as it was impressive in scale, all the while fulfilling the wishes of everyone everywhere for a literary paradise to indulge their passion and share their love for books.
