Asia’s biggest and longest running convention for toys and hobbies reached fever-pitch at Day 2 of TOYCON 2o14 at the SM Megatrade Halls 1, 2 and 3 of SM Megamall. Gracing the festivities was the world’s most prominent cosplayer, Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao, and the attendees just cannot get enough of her. As part of her media team we are glad to bring you our special coverage of TOYCON Day 2, as the excitement reached its peak.
We were of course overwhelmed with the amazing number of exhibitors and retailers who had their merchandise already on display. Collectors and enthusiasts will surely be pleased with the bewildering number of toys and other collectibles on display and for sale. The organizers weren’t kidding when they said that TOYCON would have the biggest exhibitor floor of all pop culture merchandise in terms of apparel, collectibles and memorabilia, graphic novels and comics, cosplay paraphernalia, and toys. One could literally spend most of the day just browsing through the many rare, unique and amazing merchandise on display or for sale at the best prices around. Also to rave about are the great gaming companies featuring their hit and up-and-coming games. Be sure to visit them for free trials and lots of freebies. Throughout the day, exhibits and features by chosen exhibitors were showcased at the event as people kept pouring in to partake in the many sights TOYCON had to offer.
Of course, cosplay will be our focus with the special appearance of the world’s most prominent cosplayer, Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao, as she delighted the ToyCon audience on the second day with her special performance, singing the opening theme of Shingeki no Kyojin, “Guren no Yumiya,” to the admiration of the huge crowd gathered around the TOYCON stage. She went on to delight her fans with games and giveaways as she addressed the audience and shared her own experience at TOYCON.
After being on stage, she proceeded to her booth where she had a meet-and-greet session with her adoring fans. They took photos with her, had their items signed, shook her hand and chat with her. It was an experience like no other as Alodia brought excitement and electricity to TOYCON 2014.
Day 2 also saw special performances from great groups made the day lively, which included sets by talented bands and dance groups.
