Otaku Expo Reload 2016 has always been a favorite among cosplayers and congoers as the year starts winding down, and headlining the event were a pair of prominent international cosplayers who have flown to Manila to join in the festivities and meet their ardent Filipino fans and fellow cosplayers. Tsubasa from Hong Kong and Misaki from Thailand had a number of meet and greet sessions over the two-day affair, something they and their fans got to enjoy.
Tsubasa (TBS) is one of the most well-known cosplayers from Hong Kong. Since he started in 2004, he rose to fame with his cosplays of Yukihira Souma (Shokugeki no Souma), Yuichiro and Mikaela Hyakuya (Owari no Seraph. Not only that, but he is also part of the cosplay group Fruit Punch who are known for their on-point bishounen cosplays.
Headlining Otaku Expo Reload 2016 as well was the lovely Misaki. Hailing from Thailand, she is not just a pretty face as she makes her own costumes, props and accessories. She is on a steady rise in the cosplay world since her on-point Inori Yuzuriha of Guilty Crown cosplay.
On Day 1 of Otaku Expo Reload 2016, Tsubasa cosplayed Nick Wilde from Zootopia as Misaki cosplayed Inori Yuzuriha o Guilty Crown.
On Day 2, Tsubasa was cosplaying Subara Natsuki of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu while Misaki got to cosplay Kotori Minami of Love Live, Little Devil Version.
Tsubasa and Misaki got to be presented on stage and they got to address the Otaku Expo Reload 2016 audience who were eager and excited to see them.
A lot of fans lined up to see these extraordinary cosplayers them up close at several meet and greet sessions throughout the two-day event.
Their merchandise was also made available to the public, like their posters, prints, and photobooks which they could have autographed then and there by the special guests.
The best part of the experience for the fans was of course the chance to have a photo with their cosplay idols. They got to take home great memories of them at Otaku Expo Reload 2016.
Both Tsubasa and Misaki enjoyed seeing their Filipino fans and friends again, and told us they would definitely be back to guest at future events.
