On its fifteenth epic year, the biggest cosplay and J-culture event in the Philippines takes its legion of devoted fans into the chronosphere as Cosplay Mania 2023 presented the best in cosplay, J-culture, J-music and entertainment live from Halls 2-4 and Function Room 4 of SMX Convention Center Manila last September 30 and October 1. CosMania brought together a multiverse of attractions as well as prominent international guests, delighting fans from all over the world.
As the most anticipated cosplay and J-culture event of the year, Cosplay Mania kept on drawing fans from all over the world, and on its fifteenth year, the event was bustling with activity inside and outside the venue involving so many fandoms from anime, J-music, gaming, cosplay, V-tubers, hobbird, and so much more, and that there was something for everyone.
Cosplay Mania 2023 was a multiverse of possibilities as it delivered an extraordinary extravaganza as it assembled a galaxy of amazing exhibitors and booths for merch, artwork, toys, collectibles, clothing, apparel, and many other items that you may just get this once a year and only from the biggest exhibitors from here and abroad. Many of the event sponsors had incredibly fun and enjoyable attractions as well. All Star Avenue also welcomed fans of local cosplayer and artists like Zackt and Roxanne Kho to give them the engagement with their idols that they have been craving for.
The biggest cosplay and J-culture event had two unbelievable stages to present an astronomical amount of entertainment over the weekend: the Crunchyroll-SP Stage and the Globe-EX Stage. The Crunchyroll-SP Stage delivered two huge contests with some of the biggest prizes ever, as Cosplay Mania Cup and Cosplay Karaoke Cup featured furious battles with winners from previous Cosplay.ph events battling it out to really know who was the best of the best, the champion among champions. The Crunchyroll-SP Stage also featured stage segments with appearances by special guests.
The Globe-EX Stage got to deliver equally exciting programs, performances by amazing artists and contests like Cosplay Anisong It Challenge which were hits with the crowd.
The Globe-EX Stage also featured their own exciting cosplay contest, the Cosplay Masquerade, which gathered choice picks by mystery judges from the thousands of cosplayers at the event. the finalists got to strut their stuff to impress the judges composed by arkadytmac.com’s Correspondents Rica Ortiz and Raven along with prominent artist and musician Adz. In the end, they got to decide the deserving winners who got to take home some really wonderful prizes.
Also of huge interest and appeal are this year’s batch of guest cosplayers, which included Diane Sabandeja, Phil Mizuno, Clarisa Punipun, Knite and Hiroto Kuramasu, who had special appearances at the Globe-EX Stage, with their avid fans going wild at seeing their cosplay idols live. The Globe-EX Stage also featured the Mini JAM Concert which featured amazing DJs from Japan rocking the EX halls into the night.
The JAM Concert is the single biggest J-music event of the year and got to feature stellar international artists BPM15Q, PRISM Project’s Shiki Miyoshino, Junna, Daoko, Kobo Kanaeru, and Nano. All these extraordinary artists got to engage fans of J-music all weekend long with very memorable performances.
With so many attractions and surprises in store, Cosplay Mania reaches another epic milestone that simply cannot be matched, once again living up to its reputation of being the biggest event for the community every year.
