It was a cosplay extravaganza a year in the making and the Cosplay Mania 2023 Isekai Reborn Event series has come to its much-awaited finale with Cosplay Matsuri 2023: Reborn an Oni. It was a festival like no other as the event went al out with non-stop activities and attractions spanning three whole days, December 28, 29, 30, live from Function Rooms 2-5 of SMX Convention Center Manila.
Touting over 6,000 square meters in floor space, this has officially been the biggest Cosplay Matsuri ever and has been filled to the brim with amazing exhibitors and booths that dealt in all manner of merch, toys, accessories, art, collectibles, that attendees have been looking forward to this season. Attractions like the Charms Wall also gave the event its distinct festival feel.
This year’s edition of Cosplay Matsuri was doubly spectacular with two very special guest cosplayers from Singapore coming in to join in the festivities. BoiledCurry and Riyuukii are two very well known and very talented cosplayers who had onstage segments and performances, being the judges for the various contests, as well as Autograph Signing and Photography Sessions, much to the delight of their Filipino fans.
Daily stage programs full of fun and exciting activities kept attendees engaged and enthralled throughout the event with games for the audience like the Ano Na Wa Name Game and Pundemonium, as well as the sought-after cosplay auctions.
Crowd-favorite contests like the Anisong It Singing Contest, Dokuen Cosplay Competition and the brand-new Doujin Dance Duo added a lot to the exciting and friendly feel as it showcased the community’s talents and skills while celebrating the holidays with everyone in the community.
With all these wonderful attractions and activities, Cosplay Matsuri 2023 was truly the community’s best year-ender where congoers, cosplayers and their family and friends got to enjoy the spirit of togetherness and community and the best way to close out a fun-filled year.
