The cosplay community unites to help out victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda in its own special way at the Cosplay Photoshoot for a Cause held last weekend at the scenic and ever-reliable Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife in Quezon City. Over a hundred cosplayers converged at the park to heed the requests for relief goods and donations for those stricken by the recent calamity.
The event brought together cosplayers, photographers and enthusiasts to have a photoshoot where the price of admission was a donation in cash or kind to be sent to our brothers and sisters in affected areas in the south. A whole cartload of donations was collected as the community sincerely wanted to help out our countrymen in whatever way they can in this time of need. All the donations were later turned over by the organizers to the ABS-CBN Foundation.
After some instructions from the organizers, the participants set out to have their photoshoots in the different locations within the park. It was an opportunity to meet new friends as well as renew bonds with old ones. The photographers got to have great models while cosplayers got to have by photos taken.
We particularly enjoyed the company of Ashley Misaki, who was really eager to help out with the event, posing like a pro in front of the cameras. She really had fun mingling and taking pictures with the other cosplayers there.
Also, Direk of Blue Pirate Channel was there to do a mini-movie of the Naruto cosplayers gathered there. do watch out for his work real soon.
Everyone had fun as they interacted with each other and fooled around. Most of all, everyone got to contribute to a worthy cause.
Thank you for dropping by, and please visit us again soon for another cosplay feature here at arkadymac.com.
