It was a fun weekend for cosplaying as the ICT Roadshow 2015 Kickoff held a cosplay competition at the Cyberzone of SM Annex North EDSA. I was invited to be one of the judges so it was a doubly interesting (and challenging) time for me as I had to do coverage at the same time and as the competitors at this event were among the best around.
The ICT Roadshow 2015 Kickoff was a two-day expo featuring the latest in technology and gaming geared towards the youth. It featured lots of booths from leading brands and sponsors who were generous in giving out freebies and prizes to attendees.
Programs which consisted of fashion shows and game tournaments kept the audience busy and excited throughout the duration of the event.
Raffles were also held all throughout the event, with great prizes being handed out, and some of our friends got to win.
The second day featured the cosplay competition, where some of the best in the cosplay scene showed their stuff on stage, with a curious and appreciative crowd cheering them on. As a judge, it was really tough choosing a definite winner as each gave their best performance.
At its conclusion, the winners were announced. The Best Female award went to chibi cosplayer Ashley Misaki, and Best Male went to Chrisitian Umali, with Izaiah Luke Buelos as Runner-up. They received some really nice prizes from the organizers and sponsors.
There were also cosplayers who attended and got to just enjoy the event being with the crowd, and they had fun having their pictures taken by them and with them, We of course enjoyed taking their photos too.
Though not really a major cosplay event, we still had fun as cosplayers and their supporters got some nice prizes and a pretty enjoyable time. Many thanks to the organizers, and to Merielle for inviting us.
